TOUR SNAPSHOT
You know that Barcelona is a magical city—but to your child, it seems like just another stop on your European tour. Bring the city to life for the little ones in your family on this private tour, especially thought out for 4 through 12 year olds. Get ready for games, wonder-filled stories and even a little Spanish practice. While exploring, we'll make stops for two kid-approved snacks: Spanish-style ham sandwiches and chocolate and churros.
STOP-BY-STOP
This private walking tour explores the city’s historic center. We'll pass through Barcelona’s main sights in the Born and the Gothic Quarter. Your dynamic guide will keep your children engaged throughout with stories of Spanish history. Think explorers, kings and queens, princes and princesses, knights, artists, and more! Kids will see Barcelona as never before, especially while on a hunt through winding alleys looking for for as many dragons as they can find!
Along the way, we'll make two stops for kid-approved snacks: chocolate and churros, and pa amb tomàquet (tomato bread) with cured ham.
At the churros stop, parents can choose to join in with a mug of hot chocolate or coffee, and we'll do our tasting of the best Iberian cured meats at a traditional family-run cafe. Adults and children will enjoy a beverage of choice (cava, wine, beer, soft drinks, or water) and kids will learn the art of making (and eating!) Spanish sandwiches, called bocadillos. Meanwhile, they'll learn all about Spanish culture and how kids their own age live in Spain.
And don't worry, we won't ruin your appetite for lunch—but we will give you lots of tips for where to grab a bite after the tour.
As we continue exploring, we'll head to a local market to experience the hustle and bustle of daily life as we learn some useful Spanish words and phrases. Our next stop, pending its opening schedule, is the Giants Museum, where we'll talk about the colorful traditions of Catalonia. (If the Giants Museum is closed, don't worry—we'll take you to another favorite spot of ours!)
Towards the end of the route, we'll make our last stop at a beautiful old sweets shop before we say goodbye. By the end of the tour, your child will leave with a new understanding of Barcelona—and a memory they'll treasure for years to come!
And as with all Devour Barcelona tours, you'll receive our Devouring Barcelona guide. Packed with all our favorite places to eat and drink in the city, put down your guidebook and get ready to experience Barcelona like a local!
