TOUR SNAPSHOT
Barcelona's historic center is beautiful, but it doesn't reflect the way many of us actually live. That's where Sant Antoni comes in. If you want to see the real Barcelona, that hasn't changed to attract tourists, you've found the right place. We'll go out in true local style at the bars and restaurants we frequent with our friends, and show you what a night out would look like if you lived here.
STOP-BY-STOP
We'll start the evening at a local Sant Antoni favorite: a bodega that has been family-run for decades! Here you'll mingle with locals and staff while enjoying classic tapas (including the bodega's famous sauce!) and not one, but two of Catalonia's essential drinks.
Next up it's time for a visit to another bodega where we'll pour wine straight from the barrels, just like the locals do when topping up their bottles from home. We'll pair our wine with typical Catalan cured meat and a dish that celebrates local Mediterranean herbs.
On the way to our next stop, you'll check out the impressive exterior of the renovated Mercat de Sant Antoni, and see how far the medieval city wall reached. We'll then turn onto one of the neighborhood's best food streets, where we'll find our next stop. At this modern bodega it's time for a cold glass of sparkling cava accompanied by three tapas dishes that all tell a story.
We'll continue the modern trend at our next stop, one of Barcelona's finest craft breweries. Here you'll enjoy a flight of award-winning artisanal beers paired with their perfect companion: an artisan sandwich made with ingredients from local suppliers!
After four stops of delicious food and drink, it's time for dessert. We'll head to our final stop: a bar whose hidden secret are their sweet treats. Enjoy yours with a coffee or something stronger, and let the rest of your night begin!
By the end of the night, you will have eaten and explored like a true local—and you just might be tempted to move here and become one of us!
And as with all Devour Barcelona tours, you'll receive our Devouring Barcelona guide. Packed with all our favorite places to eat and drink in the city, put down your guidebook and get ready to experience Barcelona like a local!
